I organized a large scale painting workshop with the 5th grade students of the School Les Cometes de Llorenç del Penedés. In the beginning of the workshop I showed the students images of the Catalan mixed media artist Antoni Tàpies. The philosophy of the workshop was to teach the children to work with found materials and mixed media. The students learned to work with collected objects from the land including feathers, dirt, twigs, branches, pine cones, and rocks. They also added substances such as clay and sand to the paint.
